First Mother’s Day!

We celebrated our first Mother’s Day!!! It was a good day, the Douglets fed well all day and we had a sitter watch them while Becca and I had a quick spa day, aka pedicures My foot bath was a little too hot for the nail tech, but was very relaxing. Becca had to work to not kick the nail tech when their tickled her feet haha. After that we stop by a local green house and picket up two flower baskets.

Dad had customized shirts and onesies made for Mom and the babies.

House work and growth spurts

I am a pretty handy guy and normally gave get house repairs done lickity split. Two weeks ago our water supply line started leaking. The kitchen floor had to get ripped up and the sub floor dried out. I decided to replace the water supply line, water reservoir line and door supply line. Shouldn’t take more than an hour… not when you have three babies who insist they are starving all day long! We normally offer 100ml of milk with each feeding and that is more than enough. Well not today! My repair started at noon and I finally finished at 6pm! We finally have ice cold water and fresh ice from our fridge!

I started building new garden boxes last weekend, we will see how long it takes to complete them…

An Ode to Our Washing Machine

The girls are primarily feeding with breast milk, but we are adding in two feedings for 24cal formula, AKA the gut bomb. We try to give formula at night because it helps keep them full longer AKA more sleep for mom and dad. 24 cal is pretty thick stuff and we have been battling some constipation issues, however yesterday Ms. Harper had some sweet relief as mom handed her off to dad for a quick shower. She blasted mom’s shirt, the bath mat, the shower curtain and the bath tub. Oh the sweet joy of not having a fussy baby, but the daily effort of washing things your normally don’t regularly wash… Thank the Lord for H2O at Home’s cleaning clay and Doterra’s laundry soap!

We reached our due date!

Today the Douglets reached their 40 week due date. They are 7 weeks old now!

Today we celebrated by going to our first Double Cuddles group, a multiples support group at our hospital, they also got a visit from Grandpa Douglas today while he was in town.
